    Trust the Maceration

This formula is an incredible learning experience for anyone studying marine and wood structures. A quick warning to fellow formulators: don’t panic right after mixing! Initially, my batch was a scary pepper-bomb that completely dominated the beaker, but you have to trust the process. After letting it macerate for three days, the heavy base notes finally grounded the sharp spices, and that freezing, ozonic sea-breeze perfectly emerged. The final result is very similar to the original, maybe leaning just a tiny bit more peppery in the opening, but the mineral, dark driftwood dry-down is absolutely fantastic. I learned a lot from this blend and highly recommend it!
