Amazing formula and study tool. Perhaps I am very new to this and am amazed more by the structure that you see in these formulations than anything else at the moment. I always thought it was strange to read on some manufacturers website that you diluted the material and added drop by drop until you achieved the desired scent. Now it’s making sense….but only if you can get the structure built. Once the structure is built and many times that 95% of the formula you can start painting so to speak using different naturals and synthetics to get the desired result…here is where I can see “add drop by drop” beause after each addition I swirled and smelled and even the most minute additions say .2 or .1 ppt was enough to change the scent even slightly…This formulation smells almost identical to the original…I sprayed the original on one hand and sprayed some of the newly made blend (I diluted 1.000g of it to 15% today and I blended it today 1/19/2026 ) and they are so close and if there were noticable differences at least today I am attributing them to the lack of maturation and the lack of maceration. I’m maturing this for 21 days at least maybe 28 and then diluting to 12% (15% was perhaps a bit not bright enough for my taste) and macerating for another 21-28 days and if today is any indication of what will happen over these phases….all I can say is amazing work, incredible opportunity to learn how to make the structures….it kind of reminds me of a Ramon Monegal interview I saw where he says he begins with the woody musk structure and compares it to the roots and the trunk of a tree, and once that is set, the brush strokes are what give each perfume it’s scultped scent. Thanks again for doing this work…it’s amazing to experience and even more amazing to learn.
