This is the first time I’ve used a formula as a learning tool to better understand proportions and blending. For any fans of this fragrance who happen to enjoy dabbling in perfumery, the formula is relatively accessible (as a novice I had almost everything and was able to easily and successfully substitute when needed.) My assessment is based on a side-by-side with the original, immediately after formulation. I can only imagine that with a couple days of rest time and a few tweaks (mostly due to my use of a small test vial to start which ended up bumping up the trace amounts ever so slightly, but which is a huge part of the educational element of this exercise), the Creative Formulas version would be indistinguishable from the original. I’ve actually read that recent customers lament a potential formula change and weaker product from the original, and this formula solves that in my opinion. As I’ve read in other reviews here – but was skeptical of till I tried a formula myself – this actually smells slightly better than the original in my side-by-side comparison. Can’t wait to try using an atomizer! Consider me extremely impressed. Actually, gobsmacked is a more accurate term. Thanks Creative Formulas! Will be scouting out more formulas to learn from for sure.
