I requested this formula last year after struggling to guess at it by nose. I was thrilled to see it pop up in your new formulas and It was great to finally have some guidance in understanding it. The formula is faithful to the original and lasts just as long. Super pleased.

First formula I’ve purchased and I’m not disappointed. I can barely smell any differences with the genuine sample I have. To my nose this is better than the original!

As close to the original as you can possibly get. Like everyone says, it’s nearly identical, if not in some ways better (since you’re compounding the formula fresh and probably directly into alcohol–which allows all maceration to take place immediately–versus how the store keeps the concentrate and alcohol separate so they can “mix” your perfume for you in the store, which is a load of bullshit anyway)

Wow – this is an authentic reformulation to the original scent. This is a great formula to study as it is such a unique blend. Wonderfully done, and it even smells great before maceration!

As others have said, very interesting to have a look behind the scent and see the work of a master perfumer. Always wondered how this fragrance has been constructed, mostly fascinated by the dry, powdery, paper-leather note. Gave it many attempts constructing it myself and always missed the mark with the leather note. I would have sweared this was Suederal or Apo Patchone Coeur, but nope; to my nose the key modifier is Cypriol Heart. The ‘heart’ version, not the standard Cypriol Nagarmotha EO. I have tried the latter when I didn’t have Cypriol Heart at the time and it smelled way off from Santal 33. When Cypriol Heart arrived, I made a quick sketch on a blotter with drops, and only half way the formula it already smelled 95% bang-on! A great learning curve seeing how little of some other materials have been used and how much of others. Highly recommend it. Thanks Filipe, great work!

Identical, but somehow better. I’ve learned so much from these formulas, I truly appreciate the work that went into this and so glad to be able to learn in this way.

Really wanted to understand this perfume and it’s a great formula with a few interesting surprises that are hard to imagine until you see it. This has been so helpful to me to understand this perfume. I have the original and it really is accurate.

Yesterday I used this formula and even the same day I made the mixture it already smelled like Santal 33. That cardamom is quite powerful.
