My introduction to the ‘Jardin’ series was when my partner discovered Mediterranée during trip to his home city of Montreal. One of his favorites, and one I have hoped for a few years that a formula would be made available here. Not yet, but remain hopeful. Sur le Nil was next on my discovery list, then Monsieur Li and then Sur le Toit, all during various visits to different Hermes stores. I can’t say I like the rest of the Jardin series, and one in particular (Sur la Lagune) turned me completely off. I had a sample of Sur le Toit on my perfumery work desk, and sprayed it on my arm as I mixed the Creative Formulas juice into perfumer’s alcohol. While it still needs to mature, I did dab a little on my other arm and compared. Strikingly similar, so I am sure once mature these two will be rather identical. I have also made CF’s versions of Sur le Nil and Monsieur Li and will write reviews on those once they mature.
