I bought and put this together before smelling the original. I recently smelled the original and it’s very close, I don’t know if it’s just because I smelled this one first or maybe if the original perfume was old, and not stored properly (It’s possible it was not) but I much preferred this one. I had a good majority of the aroma chemicals required for the formula on hand, I made a couple substitutions but since I could detect the similarity between this and the original I imagine it did not throw it off too much. Very crisp but also long lasting, classic masculine kind of scent. I am very much a dilettante, but these formulas have been extremely helpful in learning what works and what doesn’t, it’s helpful to see just how things come together over larger numbers of aroma chemicals without having to “throw paint on the wall”.

The formula of the fragrance is very well reproduced, but the base lacks a bit of characteristic density despite the use of the listed ingredients. I also noticed that the scent of the original product varies slightly depending on the countries where it is sold. My final rating for the recipe is 8/10, so I recommend testing it.
