I am the biggest JCE fan and ‘student’ – I am ready to be challenged on this but also ready to fight for that title. So when I heard that he is working on another perfume for Frederic Malle and that it is going to be an unusual one, I was excited. And so I bought this formula blind (not having smelled the original perfume). And I have no regrets – this is a rather unusual perfume for JCE as it is warm spice, not his usual cold cerebral spice. It is both a departure and yet it is a pleasure nevertheless. Since buying it, I’ve also compared to the original and I can say that the formula is superb!
