Disclaimer: I haven’t smelled or worn the original Tom Ford but the formula here produced something I found intriguing albeit needed some work. I found the musk to be too much and overpowering the leather to the point it felt flat and cloying. This was more personal taste however and with a few personal tweaks, I took it to a place that I now have a bottle and am wearing this every other day. Great learning exercise!

I don’t remember what the original TL smelled like, but this is a very nice formula. I wear it a lot and my girlfriend loves it!

I have to be honest, it’s one of the few TF’s that I haven’t tested and I don’t know what the first version of this formula was like, but with the current version I got a really great fragrance. Great job Filipe, who knows if sooner or later you will do the Myths formula … that would be fantastic!

This Review is for the most current iteration(V3.0) of the formula.
VERY well put together formula. I produced a faithful blend here to the letter with all the materials necessary and a good scale; + 2weeks maceration- the results matched my highest expectation.
I should mention also that I am fairly familiar with the original TF fragrance, and this formula gets us into some detail. Meaning, It’s much more than a simple Block-In of TL, and as a learning experience this has been a pleasure.
The ability to access material information -and sort the materials in the formula by Type, Is amazing.

This formula turned out better than the original TF TL. It lasts longer and you pickup on more notes, it’s not just an overdose of isobutyl quinolin as in the original. Easily a five star formula.
