Blended it without one material and as it is smelling wonderful, lets add the missing and also wait for Masceration and it should improve further . Great Work Filipe

This is a perfume with great olfactory impact, it is modern, deep and from an excellent school of perfumery. This formula is very well balanced and reproduces this perfectly. Excellent job.

I’m impressed! This formula is a perfect blend of unique scents. The top notes of saffron, nutmeg, and lavender are lively and refreshing. As it settles, the rich agarwood comes through, adding a smoky, warm vibe. The base notes of patchouli and musk give it a deep, earthy feel that sticks around all day. It’s a really well-balanced fragrance.

Great fragrance. Simple yet elegant! Good amount of naturals too. If you’re looking to get an oud formula but indecisive, this is a great place to start. You can also modify this to get close to haltane by PDM.. 😉

I used the following blend instead of Akigalawood: Clearwood + Poivrol + beta caryophylene + black pepper.
I replaced part of the Iso e super with a musk blend: ambretollide + tonalide + habanolide + ethylene brassylate + scentolide.
I reinforced the base with a blend of: operanide + ambrocenide crystals + Z11 10 mip.
I increased the Benzyl Acetone to 0.5%.
I added 1% Iralia
I’ve replaced the synth oud with a natural oud Kambouja Jungle
and a few more brushstrokes, and that’s how I got quite close to the original formula!
I diluted it with 96% ethanol at a 20% concentration; I felt that 10 or 15% was too low.
This wouldn’t be possible without Felipe’s great work!
I hope that one day they’ll make us happy with the formula for Di*r Homme 2020 edt.
Thank you very much!

This is my signature scent, I wear it everyday and I know it very well. My bottle is running low and instead of dropping another €320 on it I figured I’d give this formula a go. A couple important changes I made to this formula –
1. Switch out the ISO E Super for Timbersilk. This fragrance is supposed to be a beast mode frag. Unfortunately ISO E Super on its own doesn’t give you the power that you need. Using Timbersilk instead will help boost the power and also push that woody dry down that you get from the real thing. I’m almost certain the actual formula calls for Timbersilk instead of ISO E Super.
2. Add 1% Z11 HD to the formula. Z11 HD will boost the strength of the ambroxan to around 200% helping turn this fragrance into a beast mode fragrance.
3. Add 0.3% Norlimbanol to support the AmberXtreme. Could also use a similar dose of Ambrocenide if you don’t have Norlimbanol, but I find Norlimbanol is a more appropriate option for this fragrance.
4. Let it macerate for at least 8 weeks. I know it’s long, but these are heavy materials that need a lot of time to fully work together. If you want that full beast mode smooth experience, let it sit.
