An intoxicating, rich, complex, true-to-nature gardenia odor. This base reproduces all the nuances of Gardenia jasminoides flowers: the indolic richness, the fresh green top notes, the heavy white-flower body, the rhubarb/grapefruit undertones, and the creamy/lactonic drydown. Almost a complete perfume, this base is a middle note that blends well with citrus, floral, or woody fragrances and provides interesting effects when paired with Oakmoss, Vetiver, and Sandalwood. Although it’s not a direct replacement for the Absolute/Extract, it’s cost-effective and can be used in much higher amounts than the expensive natural oils.
