Why choose this base over the natural absolute?
Vanilla extracts are very expensive, and increasing every year. Like every natural product, each batch produces a unique chemical composition and these variations can be very noticeable in the final products. This base provides a realistic vanilla note while being cost-effective. You have full control over its composition, you can adjust it according to your needs/taste and you can replicate it as many times as you want! Having your own standardized vanilla base is great for adding a unique touch to your compositions.

Note: this formula already includes 50% Ethanol, so you can use it in place of the Vanilla Absolute 50% that we often use in our perfume formulas. If you want a stronger version, remove the Ethanol and double the amount of the other ingredients.

We call bases (not to be confused with pyramid base notes) our complex fragrances usually developed to mimic or reinterpret a single note, inspired by nature or fantasy. Great for adding complexity / originality to perfume creations but can also be used alone.
